Translation & Localization Specialist, Filipino

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Translate and localize gaming and technical materials from English to Filipino.

• Assist with new product launches, promotional content, knowledge base articles, and other customer-facing resources.

• Ensure translations are precise, culturally appropriate, and consistent in tone, terminology, grammar, and style.

• Review and enhance localized content to uphold high linguistic standards.

• Oversee both short-term and long-term translation projects while adhering to deadlines and quality benchmarks.

• Adjust priorities when source materials or project specifications change.

• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools to manage terminology, translation memory, and ensure workflow consistency.

• Collaborate with translators, reviewers, project teams, and stakeholders.

• Keep updated on gaming terminology, genres, platforms, hardware, and player communities.

• Contribute to quality, continuous improvement, innovation, and collective success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent credentials, ideally in translation, localization, linguistics, game design, or a related area.

• Native-level written and verbal fluency in Filipino.

• Outstanding command of Filipino grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication abilities.

• Professional experience in translation or localization.

• Strong familiarity with gaming terminology.

• Experience using computer-assisted translation tools like Crowdin, memoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, Wordfast, or similar platforms.

• Capability to manage multiple projects, adapt to rapid turnaround times, and uphold quality when priorities shift.

• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.

• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.

• A collaborative mindset and effective communication skills in a team-oriented setting.
