Polish Translation, Localization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Translate and adapt gaming and technical materials from English into Polish.

• Assist with new launches, marketing collateral, knowledge-base articles, and other customer-facing documentation.

• Ensure that translations are precise, culturally appropriate, and maintain consistency in tone, terminology, grammar, and style.

• Review and enhance localized content to uphold exceptional standards of linguistic quality.

• Oversee both short-term and long-term translation projects while adhering to deadlines and quality benchmarks.

• Effectively reprioritize tasks when source materials or project specifications evolve.

• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools to manage terminology, translation memory, and ensure workflow consistency.

• Collaborate closely with fellow translators, reviewers, project teams, and stakeholders.

• Stay updated on gaming terminology, genres, platforms, hardware, and player communities.

• Contribute to a team culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, innovation, and collective success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in translation, localization, linguistics, game design, or a related discipline.

• Native-level written and verbal fluency in Polish, with an outstanding command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Professional experience in translation or localization.

• Solid understanding of gaming terminology and the ability to accurately translate content in a gaming context.

• Experience with computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, memoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, Wordfast, or comparable platforms.

• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.

• Capable of managing multiple projects, adapting to quick turnaround times, and ensuring quality when priorities shift.

• A collaborative mindset and effective communication skills in a highly team-oriented setting.

• Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.

• Preferred: Experience in translating or localizing gaming and technical content.

• Preferred: Enthusiasm for PC or console gaming.

• Preferred: Familiarity with computer hardware, software development, or game design.

• Preferred: Knowledge of game distribution platforms.

• Preferred: Awareness of various game genres and online gaming communities.
