This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Translate and adapt gaming and technical content from English to Danish.
• Assist with new releases, marketing materials, knowledge-base articles, and other customer-facing content.
• Ensure translations are precise, culturally appropriate, and consistent in tone, terminology, grammar, and style.
• Review and enhance localized content to uphold high standards of linguistic quality.
• Oversee short-term and long-term translation projects while adhering to deadlines and quality expectations.
• Effectively reprioritize tasks when source materials or project requirements evolve.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools to manage terminology, translation memory, and ensure workflow consistency.
• Work closely with other translators, reviewers, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on gaming terminology, genres, platforms, hardware, and player communities.
• Foster a team culture centered on quality, continuous improvement, innovation, and collective success.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification, ideally in translation, localization, linguistics, game design, or a related field.
• Native-level written and spoken proficiency in Danish, with an exceptional command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional experience in translation or localization.
• Solid familiarity with gaming terminology and the capacity to translate content accurately within a gaming context.
• Experience using computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, memoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, Wordfast, or similar platforms.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to rapid turnaround times, and uphold quality when priorities shift.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively in a highly team-oriented environment.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.
• Preferred: Experience in translating or localizing gaming and technical content.
• Preferred: A passion for PC or console gaming.
• Preferred: Familiarity with computer hardware, software development, or game design.
• Preferred: Awareness of game distribution platforms.
• Preferred: Knowledge of various game genres and online gaming communities.
