Translation & Localization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee multilingual content requests from initiation to delivery, ensuring requirements, timelines, and quality standards are met.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external language partners to clarify project scope, address inquiries, and assist with timely localization outputs.

• Uphold consistent localization processes, documentation practices, and handoff standards.

• Aid in vendor onboarding, obtaining quotes, confirming scope, and tracking costs and timelines.

• Track delivery schedules for multiple languages and monitor the status of translation projects.

• Manage the complete submitter-to-vendor cycle and standardize intake, review, and deployment workflows.

• Prepare, organize, and format bulk translation keys and string files for platform email assets and CRM communications.

• Check the formatting of translated text, including placeholders and variables, prior to integration with CRM and marketing automation systems.

• Maintain and refresh glossaries, terminology databases, and lexicons.

• Conduct linguistic and technical quality assurance to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, terminology consistency, regional relevance, and alignment with brand tone.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of practical experience in translation coordination, localization project management, or a similar area.

• Hands-on experience with translation management systems, terminology resources, quality assurance methods, and localization project workflows.

• High proficiency in English.

• Fluency or native-level proficiency in French or another major language is advantageous (both written and spoken).

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to data formatting, string management, and linguistic coherence.

• Strong communication abilities to effectively connect internal stakeholders with external translation vendors.
