Training Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Epic training department

• Ensure the effective delivery of all Epic training curricula

• Create supplementary training materials for both Epic and non-Epic programs

• Organize schedules for EHR training sessions

• Develop educational materials for EHR training, related projects, and implementations

• Assess and manage any remedial training required for application users

• Provide mentorship and coaching to direct reports

• Lead and manage a training team

• Identify and address the underlying needs of the organization and its user community to shape training and system requirements


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a healthcare-related field, informatics, education, or information technology is mandatory

• Minimum of 3 years of management experience

• At least 5 years of experience in professional development or training

• Strong facilitation capabilities

• Exceptional writing, communication, and project management abilities

• Proficiency in using electronic health records, related equipment, and healthcare billing systems

• Extensive knowledge of hospital operations and EPIC certification

• Proven project management skills with a history of meeting deadlines and budget constraints

• Ability to work autonomously with superior organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Capability to recognize the underlying needs of the organization and its user community

• Prior experience in instructor-led training and/or Epic is preferred

• Experience in a healthcare IT environment and/or healthcare IT consulting is preferred

• Competence in mentoring and coaching direct reports

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the Health System

• Capability to manage and lead a training team

• Customer service skills tailored to the role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• A Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, adult learning, organizational development, or healthcare, or a combination of education and experience is required

• Successful completion of occupational health assessments, drug screenings, and background checks

• Compliance with U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
