National Sales Manager – Professional Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary sales representative for the organization, directly selling ZERO TO THREE's comprehensive range of professional development products and services to both potential and existing clients across the nation.

• Achieve or surpass individual sales objectives while contributing to the overall revenue goals of the team and organization through effective prospecting, pitching, and closing.

• Develop and implement sales strategies utilizing a consultative approach through outreach, presentations, and negotiations.

• Oversee a personal opportunity pipeline from prospecting to closing deals.

• Cultivate and sustain a deep understanding of ZERO TO THREE's professional development offerings while analyzing the competitive landscape.

• Represent and present at ZERO TO THREE and external events and conferences to generate and secure new business opportunities.

• Travel strategically to client locations throughout the U.S. for direct sales activities.

• Monitor the sales process and keep accurate records of contacts, leads, opportunities, and transactions within Salesforce.

• Collaborate with the marketing team on targeted cross-selling initiatives.

• Evaluate and interpret sales and marketing performance metrics to enhance sales efficiency.

• Mentor and support fellow sales team members while maintaining accountability for personal sales outcomes.

• Promote a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in outside sales with proven success in meeting sales targets, including revenue generation, new account acquisition, and pipeline expansion.

• Prior experience selling early childhood professional development products and services and/or professional development programs is highly preferred.

• Strong research and analytical abilities.

• Capability to adapt strategies based on client feedback, market trends, and other influencing factors.

• Comprehensive knowledge of established sales processes and techniques, including proficiency in Salesforce.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, with an estimated travel requirement of up to 50%.

• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, economics, or a related field.

• Experience and/or additional qualifications in business management or customer-facing disciplines, such as early childhood or adult development, are preferred.

• Proficiency in using a computer keyboard and reading from a computer screen.

• Capability to remain seated for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.

• Ability to communicate verbally and accurately hear detailed information.

• May be required to lift up to 30 pounds.
