This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance training content and resources
• Assist counselors across Trevor’s crisis services programs by implementing industry best practices
• Organize, facilitate, and oversee year-round training for a large number of trainees
• Lead workshops, role-playing exercises, shadow sessions, and related trainee activities
• Support the daily operations of the training team
• Identify opportunities for professional development and continuous learning for counselors
• Address written inquiries promptly
• Keep accurate records of trainee progress and performance data across various platforms
• Collaborate with team members and management to pinpoint training needs and areas for improvement
• Engage in at least one 4-hour direct service shift per month as a crisis counselor
• Work collaboratively with different teams to ensure training programs align with organizational objectives
• Assess training programs, analyze training data, and strive for ongoing enhancements
• Assist with special projects, administrative duties, and report preparation
• Contribute to The Trevor Project’s mission of suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ+ youth
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in designing and facilitating training or educational programs
• Proficient in computer tools and online training platforms (LMS & MOOCs)
• Capability to develop effective training materials, manuals, and visual resources utilizing Articulate, Adobe Captivate, iSpring, and Canva
• Strong oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Empathy and sensitivity when addressing trauma and consent-related issues
• Commitment to confidentiality and the ethical handling of sensitive information
• Experience in team management or leadership roles
• Background in crisis situations or providing emotional support
• Awareness of the issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth in crisis
• Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and gathering data for ongoing improvements
