Trade Sales Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Establish the Pella brand as a leading provider of window and door solutions within the trade sector.

• Meet personal sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction across all Pella product lines.

• Engage in outside sales, dedicating more than 50% of time at customer locations for account development and prospecting.

• Independently determine work hours and oversee designated market activities.

• Cultivate relationships with builders, contractors, architects, professional remodelers, and trade organizations.

• Generate leads through networking, referrals, in-person meetings, company events, trade associations, and builder home shows.

• Acquire new clients while fostering loyalty among existing customer relationships.

• Address client concerns and resolve issues during the initial interaction whenever feasible.

• Maintain expertise in products and keep an eye on the competitive landscape.

• Utilize consultative selling techniques to recommend products and comprehensive solutions.

• Prepare precise quotes and orders in accordance with company sales protocols.

• Educate clients on installation procedures and proper measurements.

• Collaborate with Pella teams and Operations regarding product needs, installations, and after-sales service.

• Handle customer billing and payment matters with Accounts Receivable.

• Employ CRM tools to manage customer interactions and communicate proactively.

• Act as the main point of contact for customers, supporting ongoing relationships.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience equivalent.

• A clean motor vehicle record that meets company standards.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks amidst constant interruptions while prioritizing responsibilities.

• Proficient in reading and analyzing documents related to contracts and work documentation.

• Skilled in writing reports and business correspondence.

• Capable of verbally presenting information and responding to inquiries from customers, managers, and the public.

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while adhering strictly to the company dress code.

• Ability to solve practical and mathematical problems with minimal standardization.

• Competence to drive to showrooms, job sites, customer/contractor locations, and company events.

• Regularly able to lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

• Proficient in accurately reading, interpreting, and taking measurements from blueprints.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and smart devices; capacity to learn internal software programs and applications.

• Willingness to work variable, non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
