This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare and revise Traffic Management Plans in accordance with NZGTTM principles, RCA specifications, and project guidelines
• Create traffic management diagrams and supporting documentation
• Analyze project drawings, work methodologies, site details, and client requirements
• Develop effective, risk-based temporary traffic management solutions
• Prepare and coordinate Corridor Access Requests, permits, and related documentation
• Submit plans and applications to the appropriate Road Controlling Authorities
• Monitor approval status and coordinate responses to RCA feedback, modifications, and requests for further information
• Collaborate with Operations and STMS personnel to comprehend project needs and provide planning assistance
• Communicate with clients, councils, RCAs, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Identify missing, ambiguous, or conflicting information and seek clarification
• Revise plans when project requirements, methodologies, timelines, or site conditions change
• Maintain records of plan versions, submissions, modifications, approvals, and supporting documents
• Ensure that approved plans are clear, practical, and easily interpretable for onsite teams
• Escalate complex, unusual, or high-risk planning issues when additional technical input is necessary
• Manage multiple plans, applications, revisions, and deadlines while ensuring accuracy
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, templates, and documentation
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic management planning, TMP design, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience in preparing Traffic Management Plans for projects in New Zealand
• Strong understanding of NZGTTM principles and New Zealand RCA requirements
• Experience in preparing Corridor Access Requests (CARs), permits, and associated documentation
• Proficiency in using RapidPlan or similar traffic management planning software
• Capability to interpret project drawings, work methodologies, site information, and operational requirements
• Knowledge of risk-based temporary traffic management design
• Keen attention to detail and dedication to producing accurate documentation
• Ability to manage multiple projects, amendments, submissions, and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong interpersonal skills when collaborating with clients, operational teams, councils, and approval authorities
• Ability to work independently and appropriately escalate complex technical issues
• Comfortable working remotely with a New Zealand-based team
• Reliable internet connection and a professional home-office setup
• Willingness to work during New Zealand business hours
• Current or previous New Zealand TTM Planner qualification (preferred)
• Current or previous STMS qualification (preferred)
• Prior operational traffic management experience (preferred)
• Experience working with multiple New Zealand RCAs (preferred)
• Experience preparing plans that involve lane closures, pedestrian management, contraflow, Stop/Go operations, road closures, and other TTM methods (preferred)
• Experience managing RCA amendments through to approval (preferred)
• Previous remote working experience with a New Zealand traffic management company (preferred)
• Familiarity with RCA submission platforms, Corridor Access Request systems, digital mapping tools, traffic management plan design/drafting software, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace, PDF editing software, document management systems, and project/task management platforms
