This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Collaborate on workplace and educational commercial interior projects.
• Create designs from initial concept to detailed design, tender, and construction documentation.
• Convert project briefs, sketches, mark-ups, and design directions into precise, coordinated drawings.
• Develop and document space plans, test fits, sketch plans, site plans, demolition plans, proposed/general arrangement plans, reflected ceiling plans, furniture and finishes plans, elevations, joinery drawings and details, ceiling details, floor threshold details, partition details, and stair drawings and details.
• Prepare and manage schedules for finishes, furniture, doors, and equipment.
• Create 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp as needed.
• Assist with design development, material selections, and presentation documentation using InDesign.
• Coordinate architectural and interior design information with specialized consultants.
• Integrate consultant information, mark-ups, and design modifications into documentation.
• Review documentation for precision, coordination, and completeness; identify potential concerns and discuss them with the Director.
• Manage assigned project tasks and deliverables according to established deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with the Director through regular reviews, mark-ups, and online meetings.
• Supervise and review the work of other team members as the business expands.
• 8-10+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design.
• Significant experience with workplace and education projects.
• Portfolio showcasing high-quality commercial interior projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of interior documentation, detailing, and construction processes.
• Capability to independently produce complete documentation packages from sketches, mark-ups, briefs, or verbal instructions.
• Excellent spatial planning and technical design abilities.
• Solid understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, and construction detailing.
• Familiarity with Australian building and accessibility standards, including NCC/BCA and DDA.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT and SketchUp or similar 3D modeling software.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop.
• Experience in preparing tender and construction documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive in problem-solving and coordination efforts.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a workstation suitable for handling large CAD and 3D files.
• Availability for Sydney working hours, 9:00am–5:30pm AEST, with a minimum of 6 hours of daily overlap.
• Regular communication through Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including daily check-ins and weekly deliverables.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all project information and documentation.
• 100% remote work from home.
