This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop comprehensive business and account plans to implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
• Prepare pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections and concerns during in-person or virtual sales meetings.
• Meet the needs of key stakeholders and cultivate trustworthy relationships.
• Implement call strategies to enhance coverage of key clients and maximize sales potential.
• Gain insights into customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical knowledge.
• Relay market intelligence to the district manager and team members.
• Highlight AbbVie’s unique value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care teams.
• Develop and enhance integrated account plans with field team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Preferred experience in gynecology.
• Gastroenterology experience is considered an asset.
• Established relationships with current healthcare provider targets are advantageous.
• Preferred experience in physician/account-based selling, CHE/OLA/training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• A proven track record in sales.
• Strong presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.
• Experience with IntelAgree, DEVO, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is beneficial.
• Ability to recognize customer styles and behaviors and adjust the sales approach accordingly.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in utilizing business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Aptitude for providing innovative solutions and anticipating changes or challenges.
• Skills in collaborative partnerships.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Veeva Engage/CLM.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally, including overnight travel.
• Ability to travel 50% within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and passport required.
• Capacity to think strategically and formulate a high-quality territory plan.
• Sound business judgment and an executive leadership mindset.
• Ability to predict customer and competitive outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with field team members.
