This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve robust, sustainable business outcomes and significant patient impact within an assigned region.
• Cultivate clinical and account knowledge in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver product line.
• Recognize and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account strategies to enhance disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and maintenance.
• Create and execute territory business plans that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Utilize performance metrics, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documentation, and business updates.
• Develop relationships with accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks in both pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Foster connections with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, office staff, and care teams.
• Analyze influence and decision-making processes in complex accounts and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
• Coordinate compliant account activities with field partners.
• Clearly and accurately communicate complex scientific and clinical information.
• Implement approved promotional initiatives and customer interactions in line with policies and regulations.
• Identify gaps in patient care, referrals, access, and support, assisting customers in addressing these challenges.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services teams.
• Work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy teams.
• Gather actionable insights from the field and contribute to business reviews, training sessions, team meetings, launch readiness, and cross-departmental projects.
• Operate with accountability, initiative, creativity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive sales experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven history of consistently achieving business results in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science market.
• Experience in rare diseases is strongly preferred; familiarity with hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical understanding and the ability to learn, retain, and convey complex information regarding disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and products.
• Experience in account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Ability to employ insight-driven or challenger-style selling techniques to constructively challenge existing practices, influence behaviors, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Working knowledge of access and reimbursement processes, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance data, identify insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into actionable field execution.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation, judgment, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks while working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous setting.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and adherence to approved promotional practices.
• A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight trips and occasional weekend obligations.
