This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve robust and sustainable business outcomes while making a significant impact on patient care within a designated territory.
• Cultivate extensive clinical and account knowledge related to rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize customers, accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks that present high opportunities.
• Develop and implement business plans for the territory and tailor account strategies.
• Leverage performance metrics, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to inform strategic direction.
• Establish trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams.
• Navigate influence and decision-making processes within complex accounts to secure appropriate follow-up actions.
• Articulate intricate scientific and clinical information in a clear and credible manner.
• Carry out approved promotional initiatives and customer interactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Influence stakeholders, manage resistance, and enhance awareness of the disease, patient identification, treatment considerations, initiation, and persistence.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services partners to overcome barriers in the patient journey.
• Work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Analytics, Advocacy, and other departments.
• Gather actionable insights from the field and contribute to business reviews, training sessions, team meetings, launch readiness, and cross-functional projects.
• Operate with a sense of ownership, initiative, resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to Mirum's values and ethical standards.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven history of achieving business results in complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science markets.
• Strong clinical understanding and the ability to learn, retain, and convey complex information regarding disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and products.
• Experience in account-based selling within health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in insight-driven or challenger-style selling to challenge existing norms, influence behavior, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Familiarity with access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business intuition and capability to analyze performance data, draw insights, formulate territory and account strategies, and execute plans in the field.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation, judgment, and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and able to prioritize while working independently in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
• Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration.
• Commitment to ethical practices, compliance, and approved promotional activities.
• A valid driver's license and readiness to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight travel and occasional weekend commitments.
