This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve strong, sustainable business results and significant patient impact within a designated territory.
• Cultivate clinical and account knowledge regarding rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account plans to promote disease awareness, facilitate patient identification, and encourage treatment initiation and persistence.
• Develop and execute territory business strategies that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Leverage performance metrics, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to spot opportunities and refine strategies.
• Maintain precise customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documentation, and business updates.
• Expand accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks across pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Establish trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams.
• Analyze influence and decision-making within complex accounts and secure necessary follow-up actions.
• Coordinate compliant account activities with field partners.
• Clearly and credibly convey complex scientific and clinical information.
• Implement approved promotional programs and customer interactions in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Persuade multiple stakeholders, manage resistance, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Keep patients and caregivers at the forefront of territory and account decisions.
• Work collaboratively with Market Access and Patient Services partners to overcome patient-journey obstacles.
• Collaborate across functions with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable field insights and contribute to business reviews, training sessions, team meetings, launch readiness, and cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrate ownership, initiative, resourcefulness, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning while embodying Mirum's values.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven history of consistently achieving business results in complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science markets.
• Experience in rare diseases is highly preferred; familiarity with hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical understanding and the capacity to learn, retain, and communicate intricate disease-state, diagnostic, mechanism-of-action, clinical data, and product information.
• Proven experience in account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Ability to employ insight-driven or challenger-style selling to effectively challenge the status quo, influence behaviors, and promote customer decision-making.
• Working knowledge of access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services within rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret performance data, identify insights, formulate territory and account strategies, and translate plans into effective field execution.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication abilities, presentation skills, sound judgment, and capacity to build trust with diverse customers.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and able to prioritize and perform independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and adherence to approved promotional practices.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight trips and occasional weekend obligations.
