This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive sustainable business performance and achieve meaningful patient impact within a designated territory.
• Cultivate clinical and account expertise in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver product line.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account strategies to enhance disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and persistence.
• Create and execute territory business plans that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Leverage performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategy.
• Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documentation, and business updates.
• Develop strategic accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks in both pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Establish trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams.
• Map influence and decision-making processes in complex accounts to secure strategic next steps.
• Coordinate compliant account actions in collaboration with field partners.
• Clearly and credibly communicate complex scientific and clinical information.
• Implement approved promotional programs and engage customers while adhering to company policies and regulations.
• Influence stakeholders, navigate resistance, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Keep patients and caregivers at the forefront of territory and account decisions.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to assist care teams in overcoming patient-journey barriers.
• Identify and escalate customer, access, and patient-support barriers.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable field insights and contribute to business reviews, training, team meetings, launch readiness, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrate ownership, initiative, resourcefulness, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Exemplify Mirum's values and maintain ethical, compliant, transparent, inclusive, and respectful conduct.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven history of consistently achieving business results in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science market.
• Experience in rare diseases is highly desirable; familiarity with hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets is a plus.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the ability to learn, retain, and communicate intricate disease-state, diagnostic, mechanism-of-action, clinical-data, and product information.
• Experience with account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Ability to employ insight-led or challenger-style selling to constructively challenge the status quo, influence behavior, and promote customer decision-making.
• Working knowledge of access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret performance data, identify insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into field execution.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation, judgment, and the capacity to build trust with diverse customers.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of prioritizing and performing independently in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and approved promotional practices.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight stays and occasional weekend commitments.
