This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve robust and sustainable business outcomes while making a significant impact on patients within a designated territory.
• Cultivate an in-depth understanding of rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account strategies that promote disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and persistence.
• Formulate territory business plans that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Utilize performance metrics, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategy.
• Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documentation, and business updates.
• Develop relationships with accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks in both pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Establish connections with healthcare professionals and care teams, ensuring compliant account actions.
• Convey intricate scientific and clinical information while executing sanctioned promotional initiatives.
• Influence stakeholders, overcome resistance, and facilitate customer decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to assist care teams in navigating patient-journey challenges.
• Work in partnership with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, Advocacy, and other cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to business reviews, training sessions, team meetings, launch preparations, and cross-functional projects.
• Gather actionable field insights and disseminate best practices.
• Demonstrate ownership, initiative, resilience, curiosity, coachability, and commitment to ethical and compliance standards.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving business results in complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science markets.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the ability to learn, retain, and convey complex information regarding disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and product details.
• Experience with account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and key healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in using insight-led or challenger-style selling techniques to constructively challenge the status quo, influence behaviors, and enhance customer decision-making.
• Familiarity with access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services within rare disease markets.
• Solid business acumen, with the ability to analyze performance data, extract insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into actionable field execution.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication abilities, presentation skills, judgment, and trust-building capabilities.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks while working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and adherence to approved promotional practices.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight travel and occasional weekend engagements.
