This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve strong, sustainable business performance and create a significant patient impact within a designated territory.
• Cultivate clinical and account knowledge in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential customers, accounts, and referral networks.
• Implement tailored account plans to enhance disease awareness, facilitate patient identification, and support treatment initiation and adherence.
• Develop and implement territory business plans that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Leverage performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategy.
• Maintain customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documentation, and business updates.
• Build strategic accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks spanning pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Establish relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams, and ensure appropriate next steps for account strategy.
• Coordinate compliant account actions with field partners.
• Convey complex scientific and clinical information while executing approved promotional programs in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Influence stakeholders, navigate resistance, and facilitate customer decision-making.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to overcome patient-journey obstacles.
• Work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable field insights and contribute to business reviews, training, meetings, launch readiness, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Operate with ownership, initiative, resilience, curiosity, coachability, and a commitment to Mirum's values and ethical standards.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Proven history of consistently achieving business results in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science market.
• Strong clinical aptitude with the ability to learn, retain, and communicate complex information regarding disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and product details.
• Experience in account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Capability to employ insight-led or challenger-style selling to effectively challenge the status quo, influence behavior, and enhance customer decision-making.
• Familiarity with access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance data, identify insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into effective field execution.
• Outstanding interpersonal, emotional intelligence, communication, presentation, judgment, and trust-building skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient, organized, and capable of performing independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and adherence to approved promotional practices.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight travel and occasional weekend commitments.
