Test Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assess the comprehensive architecture of hardware, software, and networking systems.

• Develop moderately complex test plan scripts.

• Conduct tests, document findings, and analyze results.

• Utilize Test & Defect Management tools, test automation frameworks, and scripting languages.

• Create and enhance automated tests that validate critical business functions, integrations, and data integrity.

• Leverage AI tools to expedite test ideation and automation while maintaining ultimate quality oversight.

• Recognize ambiguities, gaps, and risks prior to code implementation.

• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to enhance testability and clarify requirements.

• Identify false confidence generated by automation or AI-created artifacts.

• Contribute to CI/CD quality gates and bolster release confidence.

• Minimize test maintenance costs through robust automation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA).

• Proficient in using AI tools for generating test ideas, test cases, or automation frameworks.

• Capable of iteratively refining AI-generated tests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and maintainability.

• Experience utilizing AI to enhance exploratory, regression, or edge-case testing.

• Ability to identify misleading or incomplete AI-generated test coverage.

• Strong grasp of the distinction between coverage and confidence, and the conditions under which automation may create a false sense of security.

• Comfortable serving as the final quality checkpoint for AI-assisted outputs.

• Proven experience in improving fragile tests towards more robust or self-adjusting patterns.

• Keen interest in employing AI to lower long-term test maintenance costs.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English in a professional setting.
