This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Take charge of integration and stress testing for agent performance on production-like Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
• Design and manage the device test harness and VM-based test farm, which includes image creation, provisioning, and parallel nightly continuous integration execution.
• Create performance, load, and extended duration soak tests.
• Establish and validate agent utilization thresholds under load conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of the agent lifecycle: installation, enrollment, configuration delivery, staged self-update, rollback, and uninstallation.
• Align product intentions and detection mechanisms with tests to identify and close coverage gaps.
• Generate up-to-date reports on release quality, coverage, failures, and potential risks.
• Investigate high-severity, cross-layer defects to uncover root causes at the OS internals level.
• Transform recurring failures into reliable regression coverage.
• Work directly with endpoint engineers to provide actionable diagnostics and enhance coverage.
• Over 6 years of experience in software testing, SDET, or quality engineering.
• Significant end-to-end responsibility for test infrastructure, including frameworks, continuous integration, and reporting.
• Developed a device, integration, or cross-platform test harness from the ground up and advanced it to a trusted, gating state.
• In-depth understanding of operating-system behavior on at least two of Windows, macOS, and Linux, encompassing process and resource accounting, installation lifecycle, and agent- or driver-level runtime behavior.
• Proficient in Python and pytest.
• Capability to read and integrate C/C++ and Rust test suites into CI.
• Experience managing large test fleets in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with CI systems, gating, parallelization, and artifact management.
• Proven history of enhancing CI reliability by minimizing regression-suite runtime or converting unreliable suites into trusted gates.
• Strong debugging skills, including reproduction, instrumentation, and root-cause analysis.
• Treat test infrastructure as production-quality software: reviewed, versioned, and maintained.
• Preferred: Experience with Packer image builds using QEMU/KVM, VMware, or Parallels.
• Preferred: Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Preferred: Background in EDR, DLP, EPP, MDM, or systems-monitoring agents.
• Preferred: Experience in load and performance testing and stress-harness design.
• Preferred: Desktop GUI automation experience with tools such as PyAutoGUI, pywinauto, or uiautomation.
• Preferred: Background in secure software development.
• Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted tools in a testing workflow.
• Remote hiring available across North America.
• Meaningful equity in addition to salary.
• 90% of medical, dental, and vision insurance covered by Ent.
• 75% coverage for dependents.
• Flexible paid time off (PTO).
• 12 weeks of fully paid maternity leave (for birth, adoption, or foster care).
• 8 weeks of fully paid paternity leave.
• $100 monthly lifestyle account for fitness, wellness, education, and more.
