This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.
• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks that encompass API, integration, contract, regression, and architectural testing.
• Develop and execute strategies for API testing to ensure functionality, integrations, data integrity, reliability, and system contracts.
• Construct and sustain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify and prevent improper or non-compliant modifications from reaching production environments.
• Validate API and data contracts, ensure backward compatibility, manage schema evolution, and uphold architectural invariants across distributed systems.
• Utilize property-based testing and mutation testing to assess test effectiveness, recognize gaps, and enhance test coverage.
• Design and conduct performance and scalability testing.
• Identify bottlenecks and potential reliability challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with software engineers, architects, DevOps, and data engineering teams.
• Analyze automation failures and investigate root causes.
• Enhance the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of the testing ecosystem.
• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering, QA automation, data engineering, or software quality engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience in designing test architectures and automation frameworks for complex or distributed systems.
• Expert-level knowledge in API testing along with significant experience in API development and integration.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating automated testing and validation into CI/CD pipelines, including the implementation of automated quality gates.
• Practical experience with property-based testing and mutation testing.
• Understanding of how property-based testing and mutation testing can enhance test effectiveness.
• Experience in validating API/data contracts, ensuring backward compatibility, managing schema evolution, and maintaining architectural invariants.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing, scalability validation, and identifying application or system bottlenecks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Capability to work effectively across engineering, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.
