This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Take full ownership of quality assurance for new features, from defining acceptance criteria to implementing a runnable release-gating suite.
• Evaluate requirements prior to development and transform vague specifications into clear pass/fail criteria.
• Identify untestable requirements at an early stage.
• Design and maintain end-to-end frameworks and fixtures that are operator-facing.
• Create real-browser test suites that execute in parallel and serve as a gate for Continuous Integration (CI).
• Conduct comprehensive testing across the portal, platform, and endpoint agent.
• Perform API and contract testing between systems to identify upstream issues before they affect consumers.
• Curate both automated and AI-generated test scenarios into reliable, executable coverage.
• Report on tested areas, as well as those that are failing or at risk for features under your responsibility.
• Address and close any gaps in test coverage.
• Minimum of 5 years in software testing, as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), or in quality engineering.
• Extensive experience with end-to-end and API testing across UI, service, and integration levels.
• Developed a browser-based end-to-end framework from the ground up and integrated it into CI processes.
• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Playwright or an equivalent testing tool like Selenium.
• Experience in API and contract testing utilizing Pytest and OpenAPI-driven methodologies.
• Knowledge of Postman or similar tools is advantageous.
• Ability to convert ambiguous requirements into clear, gating coverage.
• Strong understanding of the test pyramid.
• Excellent communication skills within a distributed team, with the capability to promote the adoption of common testing tools.
• Experience with AI- or LLM-generated testing artifacts is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Continuous Integration experience with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI is preferred.
• Experience in virtualization and provisioning using tools such as Packer, QEMU/KVM, or VMware is preferred.
• Experience in load and performance testing is a plus.
• Background in security or data protection products is preferred.
