This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +5 more countries.
• Take ownership of and enhance the automated testing platform associated with TeamCity.
• Develop frameworks, infrastructure, reporting systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Diagnose and resolve slow, manual, or fragile engineering processes at their core.
• Incorporate AI into quality workflows for secure test generation, automated failure triage, and self-healing tests.
• Assist product teams in writing and managing tests, reviewing contributions, and advocating for robust test design.
• Examine test and product-code failures as well as flakiness until resolved.
• Engage in every phase of product development from design to release.
• Collaborate with both internal and external users, steering the technical direction for TeamCity quality.
• Convert quality infrastructure into a swift and dependable platform that minimizes manual release tasks and enhances developer feedback.
• Proficient in Kotlin or Java at an advanced level.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Practical experience in creating and sustaining test automation for intricate, mission-critical backends, web services, or desktop applications.
• Skilled in TestNG or JUnit.
• Proficient with Selenium WebDriver, Selenide, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with Gradle or Maven.
• Experience with Docker or Podman.
• Knowledge of Allure.
• Competence in using Git.
• Comprehension of software testing principles and concurrent programming concepts.
• Demonstrated history of developing internal platform tools or enhancing developer experiences that significantly accelerate engineering workflows.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Strong architectural judgment and adherence to clean, maintainable coding practices.
• A practical curiosity regarding AI and a discerning eye for its applications.
• Capability to work autonomously without formal specifications.
• Effective, direct communication skills and a proactive approach to enhancing team practices.
