
Territory Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Enhance market share by boosting special-order sales units, revenue, and average selling price within the Millwork Department, Customer Order Expeditor (COS), and Specialty Assistant Store Manager (SASM) segments.
• Deliver product knowledge training, conduct product demonstrations, and provide MyCD program training for millwork and ProDesk associates.
• Collaborate with the Merchandising Execution Team (MET) to maintain stock product integrity and ensure accurate price labels.
• Utilize Digital Bay Service Request (DBSR) to assess bays and guarantee proper execution of projects.
• Inspect showroom and in-aisle displays for quality and presentation.
• Evaluate planograms and confirm that bays are arranged correctly.
• Interact with store managers, assistant managers, receiving personnel, and order expeditors.
• Organize weekly schedules and report sales activities utilizing CRM and Call Reporting applications.
• Respond to customer complaints, investigate concerns, and propose effective solutions.
• Provide sales leadership with insights regarding the competitive landscape, sales challenges, and potential opportunities.
• Travel 40% or more, including overnight stays as required by the territory.
• Visit stores for training, setting appointments, reviewing product literature and stock, coordinating with MET, and checking display quality.
• Ensure that displays align with company quality standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated direct sales experience in the building products sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with the building products industry and home improvement retail channel is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• General knowledge of major competitive brands within the industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong time management skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills, coupled with a high level of integrity and personal motivation.
• Ability to adapt to new processes, technologies, and perspectives.
• Willingness to travel daily within the territory: Upper Midwest – Michigan.
