This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +3 more states.
β’ Oversee all facets of sales, marketing, and account management for clients within the Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan regions.
β’ Enhance the company's market presence by managing, nurturing, and expanding the current distributor network.
β’ Deliver exceptional customer service to support sales and profitability objectives.
β’ Assist with technical inquiries and installation requirements utilizing extensive product knowledge.
β’ Establish communication channels and foster relationships with distributors, engineers, and local governments.
β’ Analyze current and prospective distributor volumes to strategically direct sales efforts.
β’ Implement the company's pricing strategy to secure sufficient margins and sales returns.
β’ Provide weekly updates to management regarding market trends.
β’ Record customer interactions and manage opportunities in the designated software.
β’ Resolve product issues both in the field and over the phone.
β’ Serve as a liaison between end users, customers, and the company.
β’ Educate and train distributor sales personnel on up-to-date product and marketing information.
β’ Engage in trade associations, seminars, trade shows, and presentations.
β’ Coordinate with the National Sales Manager about territory requirements, issues, and resource distribution.
β’ Prepare price quotes and bids informed by material knowledge and market analysis.
β’ Monitor competitors' pricing, products, delivery timelines, and marketing strategies.
β’ Uphold and advocate for The McWane Way principles.
β’ Carry out additional sales and service responsibilities as assigned by management.
β’ Travel approximately 75% of the time while completing 25% of work from a home office.
β’ Operate in a conventional office setting and occasionally in field environments and facilities.
β’ Must reside in Ohio, West Virginia, or Michigan within the designated territory or be willing to relocate.
β’ Minimum of five years of industrial sales experience required, ideally within the waterworks sector; or successful completion of the McWane Sales Trainee program.
β’ Bachelor's degree is preferred.
β’ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
β’ Self-motivated and capable of leading oneself.
β’ Ability to negotiate and finalize deals while upholding a strong customer service mindset.
β’ Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean DMV driving record that qualifies for insurance.
β’ Must be physically and visually equipped to dismantle moderately complex mechanical products and convey product details to customers and the factory.
β’ Ability to read, interpret, and analyze business literature, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
β’ Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
β’ Capable of presenting information and addressing queries from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
β’ Ability to compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
β’ Competent in solving practical issues and interpreting written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
β’ Familiarity with software related to the internet, inventory, manufacturing, order processing, spreadsheets, and word processing.
β’ Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, handle objects, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary.
β’ Occasionally able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
β’ Must pass a drug screening, physical exam, and background check if offered employment.
