
Territory Sales Manager – Companion Animal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Optimize sales across the company's range of companion animal products within a specified territory.
• Create, execute, and consistently evaluate territory plans.
• Analyze customer data for territory management, customer engagement, and pre-call preparations.
• Identify and focus on high-value customers.
• Establish and nurture relationships with veterinarians, vet nurses, store managers, field representatives, veterinary technicians, and business managers.
• Recognize customer needs and communicate appropriate product and service solutions.
• Demonstrate the value of Animal Health products compared to alternative treatment options.
• Deliver corporate sales presentations to consumer groups, clients, and wholesalers.
• Engage in promotional strategies to enhance sales.
• Utilize technical services support to convey technical information and boost sales.
• Provide technical and sales training to wholesalers and clients.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge, including competitor offerings and broader animal health trends.
• Monitor competitor activities and develop actionable territory plans.
• Report competitor activities to the Regional Sales Manager / Sales Lead.
• Log customer interactions in CRM systems such as MAXX.
• Accurately and promptly complete product complaint investigations, pricing inquiries, compliance issues, and follow-up requests.
• Ensure business activities adhere to relevant Acts, policies, and procedures.
• Share insights and communicate effectively across sales and marketing teams.
• Contribute positively during team meetings and forums.
• A tertiary degree in business or science is preferred.
• Proven commercial success in a sales position is essential.
• Strong skills in relationship-building and influencing others.
• Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
• High adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and responsiveness to customer requirements.
• Capability to work collaboratively and inclusively with others.
• Self-motivated individual who operates well with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable utilizing technology such as iPads.
• Capable of making daily decisions that align with standard business operations.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Active interest in enhancing selling skills, including Action Selling and key account management principles.
• Essential skills include account management, animal health care, data analysis, field sales management, field sales support, lead generation, market analytics, outbound sales, product knowledge, sales forecasting, sales pipeline management, sales reporting, sales strategy development, technical knowledge, technical product sales, and veterinary sciences.
• A valid driving license is required.
