This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Propel sales growth and market development throughout northern Alberta by utilizing strategic territory management and engaging with customers.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with agricultural retailers, entrepreneurs, growers, agronomists, crop advisors, and industry influencers.
• Discover and nurture new retail opportunities, strategic accounts, partnerships, and initiatives for market expansion.
• Oversee territory priorities, sales forecasting, pipeline development, and tracking of opportunities.
• Implement sales programs, promotional activities, product positioning, field events, product demonstrations, agronomy tours, and educational programs for growers.
• Design and execute territory business plans that align with revenue objectives, product adoption, and customer growth.
• Identify fresh market opportunities, customer segments, and strategies for growth.
• Relay market feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to internal teams.
• Represent Vive at trade shows, agronomy meetings, grower events, customer presentations, and industry conferences.
• Assist in the launch and commercialization of new products and technologies.
• Collaborate with Agronomy, Marketing, Biology, Product Development, and Sales leadership teams.
• Leverage digital agronomy and precision agriculture tools for customer engagement, agronomic positioning, and business development.
• Provide agronomic and commercial guidance to retail partners, ag entrepreneurs, and customers.
• Work alongside retail partners and technical teams on product positioning, customer recommendations, and ensuring field success.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Business, Marketing, Plant Production, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Western Canadian cropping systems, including cereals, canola, pulse crops, and specialty crops.
• Experience collaborating with agricultural retailers, entrepreneurs, consultants, growers, and industry influencers across Western Canada.
• Proven track record of introducing new products and technologies to the marketplace and facilitating commercial adoption.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote territory-based role.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with biological products, precision agriculture, and digital agronomy technologies is advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of crop protection products, agronomic positioning, and sales processes in agriculture.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, manage customer relationships, and create strategic business opportunities.
• Over 7 years of experience in sales, territory management, agronomy sales, ag retail, or business development within the Canadian agriculture sector.
• Valid passport with the ability to travel across the assigned territory and occasionally throughout Western Canada, Eastern Canada, and parts of the US.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on home location.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Readiness to travel extensively during key seasonal periods, customer events, and sales activities.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
