This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Acquire knowledge of Victaulic’s complete product range and comprehend how its solutions assist clients in completing projects punctually and within budget.
• Attain expertise in grooved mechanical pipe joining techniques and alternative methods such as welding and flanging.
• Familiarize yourself with construction cycles and recognize, monitor, and track significant construction, expansion, and retrofit initiatives.
• Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activities.
• Engage with local trade organizations and professional associations within your designated territory.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to formulate business plans, opportunity mapping, sales targets, product promotion strategies, and sales tactics.
• Oversee project pursuits from initial conception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, on-site training, final commissioning, and post-sale follow-up.
• Collect quotation data and lead internal sales, engineering, and support teams to fulfill customer requirements.
• Build relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
• Dedicate quality time to customers, including evenings and weekends for dinners, sports events, and social gatherings.
• Collaborate with distributors and maintain a balanced distribution network.
• Coordinate efforts with other representatives and regional market experts.
• Identify customer needs and inform them about the value of Victaulic products.
• Conduct job site tool demonstrations and provide installation training.
• Present lunch-and-learn sessions for engineers.
• Influence key decision-makers and clearly communicate product value to optimize sales opportunities.
• Travel within the territory to visit customers and job sites.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Previous sales experience with “value-added” products/services is preferred, particularly in commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips as required by the territory.
• Capability to work in challenging weather conditions.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

• Self-motivated and driven; capable of working remotely with minimal supervision.
