This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee a specific territory by identifying potential clients, contractors, and distributors, while formulating a strategic engagement plan.
• Actively seek and engage new clients, contractors, and distributors to enhance market presence and boost sales.
• Create and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving or surpassing sales targets, including cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
• Prepare estimates and proposals for prospective clients.
• Target key accounts and strive to meet or exceed quarterly and year-end booking and revenue objectives.
• Organize and execute sales activities with distributor clients.
• Inform customers and prospects about product features, advantages, and competitive benefits.
• Collaborate with marketing, product management, customer service, production, engineering, representatives, and sales teams.
• Represent the Weil-McLain product line at regional and national trade exhibitions.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients, contractors, and distributors through effective communication, sales calls, demonstrations, product shows, and in-person meetings.
• Provide product and technical training.
• Address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction.
• Keep records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools.
• Create and manage the opportunity pipeline.
• Prepare and deliver reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Monitor and control territory expenses.
• Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to recommend actionable plans.
• Engage in product growth opportunities, product launches, presentations, and technical demonstrations.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reductions.
• Participate in various assigned projects.
• Minimum of 2 years of territory sales experience in a closely related industry.
• Experience in channel management.
• Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales targets while driving business growth.
• Strong grasp of sales principles, techniques, strategies, and best practices.
• Technical knowledge of product features, functions, benefits, installation, and application.
• Previous experience in delivering technical training.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Exceptional negotiation and persuasive abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to present data and recommendations effectively with strong presentation skills.
• Experience in interpreting sales data and market trends.
• Formal training in sales and marketing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficient in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
• Willingness to travel at least 80% of the time.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
• Ability to drive long distances.
• Capability to lift and move product displays weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
