This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Acquire knowledge about Victaulic’s products and their role in providing solutions for customers.
• Familiarize yourself with grooved mechanical pipe joining techniques as well as alternative methods such as welding and flanging.
• Gain an understanding of construction cycles, including major construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
• Integrate with local trade organizations and professional associations.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to create a business plan that includes opportunity mapping, sales objectives, product promotion strategies, and sales initiatives.
• Manage project pursuits and oversee project management from inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job-site training, commissioning, and follow-up after the sale.
• Collect quotation requisition details such as application, specifications, pricing, and timing needs.
• Lead inside sales, engineering, and support teams to fulfill customer needs.
• Establish enduring relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
• Collaborate with distributors and maintain a balanced distribution network.
• Coordinate efforts with Victaulic representatives and regional market specialists.
• Understand customer requirements and educate them on the value of Victaulic products.
• Conduct tool demonstrations and provide installation training at job sites.
• Present lunch-and-learn sessions to engineers.
• Influence decision-makers to maximize sales opportunities.
• Participate in customer dinners, sporting events, and other social gatherings outside regular business hours as needed.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Prior sales experience in value-added products or services is advantageous, particularly in commercial construction, PVF, or mechanical products.
• Proven track record of success in sales.
• Experience in developing and maintaining long-term relationships.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Confident, professional demeanor coupled with an engaging and friendly personality for customer interactions.

• Willingness to travel, including potentially significant overnight travel based on territory requirements.
