This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take charge of the annual sales territory for SPT Labtech's liquid handling portfolio in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska.
• Promote and cultivate the market for liquid handling and sample management product lines within the territory.
• Oversee all pre-sale activities through to purchase order and provide support for post-sales initiatives.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with sales specialists, support teams, product management, and marketing departments.
• Schedule and execute customer product presentations and demonstrations.
• Generate outbound leads and engage in trade shows.
• Maintain the customer database and develop a global strategy based on measurable objectives.
• Organize work priorities to meet both individual and company objectives.
• Identify and follow up on opportunities across product lines while collaborating with product specialists.
• Establish consultative customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Position SPT solutions within end-user workflows and articulate the benefits of these solutions.
• Keep a strong knowledge of products and services while cross-selling the product range.
• Maintain application expertise through training and support activities.
• Manage CRM data effectively.
• Ideally situated in the Texas area with a well-established network in the region.
• Over 5 years of experience in a capital equipment sales role within the Life Sciences market.
• Experience in selling automated liquid handling technologies or familiarity with lab automation solutions.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline.
• A background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is beneficial.
• Strong drive, determination to meet targets, and resilience.
• Growth-oriented mindset, genuine curiosity, confidence, and humility to continue learning.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability for results.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 50%, within the region.
• Based near a convenient travel hub.
• Familiarity with CRM systems as a central sales tool.
• Experience with Salesforce is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of success and the ability to develop business.
• Capability to deliver both formal and informal product presentations to individuals and large groups, including physicians, research associates, purchasing teams, lab managers, and executive members.
• A self-sufficient team player capable of working remotely.
