Territory Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Identify, qualify, and oversee sales leads as well as new customer accounts.

• Create and implement sales strategies to uncover opportunities, finalize deals, and meet sales objectives.

• Track the sales funnel and ensure a sufficient number of opportunities to achieve targets.

• Establish and nurture relationships with both current and potential customers within the designated territory.

• Cultivate productive partnerships with OEM/channel partners where applicable.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor actions, and market developments.

• Maintain precise sales forecasts and regularly update CRM systems.

• Organize workshops, customer events, demonstrations, training sessions, and provide technical support.

• Collaborate with application specialists, service teams, engineering, and product management to deliver tailored solutions and ensure successful installations.

• Travel to customer locations, trade shows, and installation sites while managing travel and operational costs.

• Employ consultative, value-based selling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and close sales.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in STEM or a related field is preferred.

• 3–5 years of sales experience within the scientific sector.

• Comprehensive experience with relevant technologies, clients, and markets.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including occasional international trips.

• NMR experience is highly preferred.

• Strong foundation in technical sales, relationship development, and comprehensive customer engagement across various departments and functions.

• A professional network and toolkit that yield immediate results.

• Significant experience with CRM systems, preferably SAP CRM.

• Proficient in delivering sales presentations and articulating technical information effectively.

• Results-driven with the capability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.

• Ability to function effectively in a team setting, adhering to established processes and playbooks.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and other formats.

• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions, subject to standard visa requirements.

• Capable of fostering effective internal and external working relationships.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Oxford Instruments is unable to sponsor or take over employment visa sponsorship.
