This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Develop and sustain relationships with distributors, dealers, and construction experts within the Spokane, Washington, Northern Idaho, and Montana regions.
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales, margin, and expense objectives.
• Enhance market share and improve key performance indicators such as dealer share, product positioning, and builder adoption rates.
• Identify, secure, and maintain essential dealer and contractor accounts.
• Refine local distribution strategies and bolster relationships.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to create and implement an annual business strategy.
• Facilitate Joint Business Planning sessions with regional leadership and distributors.
• Conduct product presentations both in-person and through virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams.
• Utilize CRM tools and company sales methodologies to monitor pipeline activity, territory coverage, and customer interaction.
• Provide competitive and market insights to guide program and pricing strategies.
• Adhere to company policies and uphold business ethics.
• Travel frequently within the territory, typically involving around two overnight trips per week (20–60%).
• Over 4 years of outside sales experience in the building materials sector.
• Proven experience in contractor and builder sales through distribution channels and lumberyards.
• Familiarity with pull-through selling techniques and influencing product choices at the contractor and builder levels.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation access.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Capability to demonstrate products and convey messages effectively to varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience with CRM systems and/or formal sales training is preferred.
