This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Strategically plan, organize, maintain, develop, and expand a portfolio of around 50 targeted and key distributors, with an emphasis on volume and profitability.
• Identify and onboard distributors within the designated territory.
• Enhance sales by fostering proactive communication with current and potential customers regarding new products, services, supplies, pricing, programs, and discounts.
• Sustain and enhance revenue and gross margin.
• Ensure precise tracking of calls in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with branch managers and their teams to boost sales in branches within the assigned area.
• Formulate corrective action plans to achieve or surpass weekly customer development and sales objectives.
• Serve as the distribution-channel authority on product features, benefits, performance, and design guidelines.
• Guarantee that customer accounts are well-informed about policies, promotions, product launches, billing, returns, and product modifications.
• Periodically reach out to customers to evaluate their satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
• Monitor competitor activities and trends within the territory.
• Enhance knowledge of the company's products and features.
• Comprehend and adhere to work instructions, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
• Undertake additional tasks or projects as necessary to support business operations.
• Ensure that work aligns with management's expectations, objectives, and vision.
• Take responsibility for increasing sales volumes and cultivating new business.
• Make decisions and resolve issues in line with established policies, procedures, and the business plan, under the guidance of the senior manager or regional sales director.
• Strong sales acumen with the ability to create and implement an effective sales strategy.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal systems, including CRM, Salesforce, and expense reporting.
• Skills in relationship development, customer service, negotiation, and sales-plan execution.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking capabilities.
• High level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain concentration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Knowledge of HVAC products, services, customers, and market dynamics.
• Sound judgment, discretion, independence, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
• Professional work ethic and integrity.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the HVAC industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned region.
• Capability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
