This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Act as the main relationship leader for designated agency and distribution partners.
• Cultivate executive-level connections with agency principals, producers, and decision-makers.
• Conduct agency business evaluations concentrating on production, profitability, and growth prospects.
• Maintain a robust field presence through in-person agency visits, virtual meetings, conferences, and industry gatherings.
• Provide education, training, and market insights to agencies.
• Create and implement territory business plans aligned with growth, profitability, market expansion, and distribution goals.
• Drive profitable premium growth via strategic relationships with agencies, brokers, wholesalers, aggregators, and other distribution partners.
• Identify market opportunities through competitive analysis, agency intelligence, emerging distribution channels, and marketplace trends.
• Build and enhance the distribution network through agency recruitment, onboarding, development, engagement, and succession planning.
• Lead agency segmentation and prioritize resources to maximize growth potential, profitability, and return on investment.
• Develop joint business plans, production targets, pipeline strategies, and market growth initiatives with agency leadership.
• Utilize CRM platforms, agency scorecards, analytics, and reporting tools to assess performance and inform decision-making.
• Track premium growth, submission volume, hit ratios, retention, profitability, agency engagement, and pipeline development.
• Formulate action plans to enhance performance and optimize territory outcomes.
• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, product, and business partners on coordinated territory strategies.
• Provide market intelligence on competitor activities, agency consolidations, underwriting trends, producer movements, and emerging opportunities.
• Develop annual territory assessments and strategic recommendations.
• Support underwriting discussions regarding appetite, risk selection, pricing strategies, account retention, pipeline management, large account opportunities, and renewal strategies.
• Advocate for agency and customer needs while upholding underwriting discipline and profitability objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required for operating a company-provided vehicle.
• Must be able to travel approximately two to three weeks each month, primarily for agency visits.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance, ideally in non-profit, education, religious institutions, and small business sectors.
• Proven success in achieving business and profitability goals.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to change.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required.
• Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, or P&C License are preferred.
