This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive the adoption of therapy, establish new accounts, and increase revenue for CardioMEMS.
• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, heart failure clinics, administrators, and key stakeholders.
• Deliver clinical, technical, and strategic presentations to enhance therapy understanding and adoption.
• Lead discussions on pricing, contract negotiations, and value-based conversations.
• Plan and execute educational events focused on hemodynamics, GDMT, published data, biomarkers, patient selection, and local case studies.
• Provide support during procedures and troubleshoot post-operative issues as needed.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets and implement quarterly business plans.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Professional Education, and Commercial Excellence teams.
• Monitor territory performance, customer engagement, and pipeline activities.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and identify opportunities for account growth.
• Partner with Clinical Account Representatives on strategies for priority accounts.
• Foster long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Submit sales reports, forecasts, and insights on competition.
• Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities in implanting and community sites.
• Develop and implement territory strategies to boost market share and promote sustainable adoption.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CardioMEMS, competitive products, and alternative therapies.
• Provide on-call technical, clinical, and engineering support for field inquiries and procedural needs.
• Offer procedural case coverage throughout the region.
• Assist heart failure clinics with training, education, clinical data collection, and the introduction of new products.
• Comply with FDA regulations, company policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and expenses.
• Collaborate with internal partners, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Professionally and compliantly interact with patients when necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in healthcare sales.
• 2+ years in cardiology structural heart/heart failure preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving ≥100% of quota for two consecutive years.
• Demonstrated success in opening 3–5+ new accounts per year or expanding underutilized accounts for sustained use.
• Strong knowledge of the payer and insurance reimbursement landscape.
• Recent experience with product launches preferred, including leading 2–3 program or therapy launches per year with evidence of sustainability.
• Experience in pre-launch planning, stakeholder alignment, executive sponsorship, training, education, clinical workflow integration, post-launch support, and long-term sustainability plans.
• Background in driving program implementation and ensuring ongoing program maturity, such as HF clinic onboarding, remote monitoring workflow development, utilization ramp, and adoption metrics.
• Strong executive presence and ability to present clinical/technical information to audiences ranging from 1 to 50 stakeholders.
• Proven capability to influence cross-functional buying groups.
• Comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create data-driven territory strategies, forecasting models, and QBRs utilizing CRM platforms, analytics, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel 60–70% within the territory, including some overnight and early/late case support.
• Preferred Cath Lab experience.
• Experience at leading MedTech organizations is preferred.
• Familiarity operating in a competitive market with multiple industry players is preferred.
• Knowledge of Cath lab/OR workflows preferred.
