This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of and cultivate customer relationships within a collaborative selling framework.
• Guide customers through ordering platforms while offering menu consultations, product suggestions, and pricing strategies.
• Drive sales, enhance case growth, and secure new business opportunities.
• Deliver compelling sales presentations and customize sales tactics to suit individual customer needs.
• Effectively manage time and territory.
• Partner with Specialists to identify key penetration opportunities and facilitate new account openings.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to guarantee smooth product delivery.
• Utilize market intelligence databases, business directories, existing-client leads, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences to identify potential customers.
• Oversee deliveries in accordance with the transportation department’s routing schedule.
• Resolve order-processing issues, such as delivery inaccuracies, short loads, and stock shortages.
• Keep track of market trends, product innovations, and competitor offerings, prices, and sales strategies.
• Use a personal vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups.
• Work outdoors daily within the assigned territory, visiting customers in varying weather conditions.
• No direct reports.
• Preferred: 1+ year of sales experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid driver's license is necessary, and the motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
• Preferred: Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with effective presentation capabilities.
• Ability to establish internal and external relationships and conduct cold calls to generate new business.
• Capacity to develop a territory and establish new accounts.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• A competitive mindset with a commitment to surpassing goals.
• Problem-solving skills, organizational capabilities, and negotiation expertise.
• Team-oriented approach for collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Technologically proficient – knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is advantageous.
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
