This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Take ownership of a specified state or group of states while increasing both business volume and quality through independent agencies.
• Meet and exceed production goals related to bound premium and policy count.
• Develop, categorize, and oversee a targeted agency list along with a strategic territory plan.
• Ensure visibility of the pipeline with appointed agencies, monitoring quoting trends and bound premium.
• Perform in-person visits to agencies, host lunch-and-learns, and participate in local events.
• Obtain specific production commitments from priority agencies.
• Articulate Branch’s value proposition, appetite, and unique differentiators.
• Educate agencies on optimal risk profiles to enhance binding, retention, and performance.
• Provide training for agency stakeholders on using Branch’s quoting platform prior to employing comparative raters.
• Activate, retain, and re-engage producing agencies.
• Address objections from both agencies and shoppers.
• Report competitive insights, pricing challenges, and product gaps to Branch.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to eliminate territorial obstacles.
• Report directly to the Director of Territory Management.
• A minimum of 5 years in a quota- or target-driven field sales position managing a defined geographic area or book of business.
• Preference for experience in independent agency distribution, territory/field sales, SaaS sales, or a similar business development role.
• Proven track record of accountability to meet specific production targets.
• Ability to influence independent professionals without relying on authoritative power.
• Existing relationships with independent agencies in the assigned state(s) are advantageous.
• Comfortable and experienced in managing a self-directed field schedule with significant travel.
• Excellent skills in in-person presentations and group training.
• Consultative selling skills to identify production barriers and opportunities.
• Capability to learn and teach a technical, regulated product.
• Experience in P&C insurance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Expected to grasp underwriting appetite, rating, and agency workflow within the first quarter.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Willingness to travel 50–70% within the assigned territory.
