This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive sales performance and foster business growth within a designated region.
• Formulate, implement, and execute a thorough territory business plan that aligns with corporate goals.
• Assess territory performance, market trends, customer requirements, and competitive actions to pinpoint growth possibilities.
• Manage the territory as a business entity, prioritizing accounts and resources to maximize return on investment.
• Utilize CRM, sales analytics, and various data sources to enhance targeting, call planning, and territory execution.
• Meet or surpass assigned sales targets and performance objectives.
• Establish and nurture productive relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
• Engage with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, office personnel, and other healthcare decision-makers.
• Provide clinically accurate product presentations tailored to meet customer needs.
• Implement promotional programs, educational initiatives, speaker programs, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure customer service excellence and responsiveness to support long-term account growth.
• Cultivate and retain knowledge of Azurity products, disease states, clinical data, and market dynamics.
• Convey complex clinical information in various customer environments.
• Monitor competitor activities, treatment guidelines, payer developments, and industry trends.
• Complete necessary training and enhance expertise in products, markets, and sales techniques.
• Conduct business operations in a compliant, ethical, and professional manner.
• Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards, including sample accountability.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in CRM systems.
• Oversee territory expenses and resources within approved budgetary limits.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience is essential.
• Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
• Ability to work independently while managing a territory and key customer relationships.
• Strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in effectively conveying clinical and scientific information.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Veeva, Salesforce, or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and air travel.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales is preferred.
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales is favored.
• Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals is advantageous.
• Experience calling on specialties such as Gastroenterology, Primary Care, Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, or other relevant fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of local and regional health systems, payer dynamics, and specialty pharmacy channels is preferred.
• A demonstrated track record of top sales performance and recognition is preferred.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods.
• Frequent requirements to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.
• May occasionally need to climb stairs and/or use elevators.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to manipulate a keyboard and operate a telephone and handheld devices is necessary.
