Territory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Propel sales performance and foster business growth within a designated region.

• Create, implement, and execute a thorough business plan for the territory that aligns with corporate goals.

• Assess territory performance, market trends, customer requirements, and competitive actions to discover growth possibilities.

• Treat the territory as a business, prioritizing accounts and resources to maximize return on investment.

• Leverage CRM systems, sales analytics, and various data sources to enhance targeting, call planning, and territory execution.

• Meet or surpass assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

• Build and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.

• Engage with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, office staff, and other healthcare decision-makers.

• Provide clinically accurate product presentations tailored to the needs of customers.

• Implement promotional programs, educational initiatives, speaker programs, and follow-up activities.

• Ensure customer service excellence and responsiveness to foster long-term account growth.

• Cultivate expertise in product knowledge, disease states, clinical data, and the marketplace.

• Convey complex clinical information effectively in customer interactions.

• Keep track of competitor actions, treatment guidelines, payer developments, and industry trends.

• Complete necessary training and enhance expertise in products, markets, and selling techniques.

• Conduct business in a compliant, ethical, and professional manner.

• Follow company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements, including sample accountability.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation in the CRM system.

• Manage territory expenses and resources within authorized budgets.

• Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 2 years of proven successful sales experience.

• A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

• Proven capability to work independently while managing a territory and key customer relationships.

• Strong business insight and strategic planning abilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate clinical and scientific information.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Veeva, Salesforce, or comparable systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and air travel.

• Physical capability to sit for extended periods, frequently stand, walk, talk, and/or hear; occasionally climb stairs or use elevators; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; operate a keyboard, telephone, and handheld devices.

• Pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience is preferred.

• Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals is preferred.

• Background in Gastroenterology, Primary Care, Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, or other relevant specialties is preferred.

• Familiarity with local and regional health systems, payer dynamics, and specialty pharmacy channels is preferred.

• A proven record of top sales performance and recognition is preferred.
