Territory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Propel sales performance and foster business growth within a designated geographic area.

• Formulate, implement, and execute a detailed territory business plan that aligns with corporate objectives.

• Assess territory performance, market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activities to uncover growth opportunities.

• Oversee the territory as a business unit, prioritizing accounts and resources to maximize return on investment.

• Leverage CRM systems, sales analytics, and additional data sources to enhance targeting, call planning, and territory execution.

• Meet or surpass assigned sales targets and performance goals.

• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.

• Engage with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, office personnel, and other healthcare decision-makers.

• Provide clinically accurate product presentations customized to meet customer needs.

• Implement promotional programs, educational initiatives, speaker events, and follow-up activities.

• Ensure customer service excellence and responsiveness to promote long-term account growth.

• Acquire knowledge about Azurity products, disease states, clinical data, and market dynamics.

• Convey complex clinical information across diverse customer settings.

• Monitor competitor actions, treatment guidelines, payer developments, and industry trends.

• Fulfill required training and broaden product, market, and sales expertise.

• Conduct business in a compliant, ethical, and professional manner.

• Comply with company policies, industry regulations, legal requirements, and sample accountability procedures.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM documentation.

• Manage territory expenses and resources within approved budgets.

• Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business results.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of demonstrable sales experience with a successful track record.

• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.

• Capability to work independently while managing a territory and key customer relationships.

• Strong business acumen coupled with strategic planning abilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency in effectively communicating clinical and scientific information.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.

• Experience with CRM systems such as Veeva, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and air travel.

• Preferred experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales.

• Specialty pharmaceutical experience is a plus.

• Experience in calling on Gastroenterology, Primary Care, Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, or other relevant specialties is preferred.

• Familiarity with local and regional health systems, payer dynamics, and specialty pharmacy channels is desirable.

• A proven history of top sales performance and recognition is preferred.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.

• May occasionally need to climb stairs and/or use elevators.

• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Must be able to manipulate a keyboard and operate a telephone and handheld devices.
