This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Manage a designated territory and agency partnerships to promote profitable premium growth and fulfill financial and operational objectives.
• Develop, implement, and execute strategies for the territory and agencies utilizing company programs, tools, and resources.
• Take charge of the business development process with a focus on cultivating a profitable pipeline for new business and retaining renewals.
• Identify and assess potential agencies, conduct prospect surveys, and secure completed agency applications.
• Foster and develop intricate partnerships with agency ownership, management, and frontline personnel through in-person interactions.
• Establish expertise in the subject matter while providing training on products, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and systems.
• Assist in retention and new business initiatives to enhance agency depth and optimize agency revenue.
• Create, drive, and manage relationships with producers through knowledge of company strategies and collaborative sales planning.
• Engage with branch teams regarding complex agency relationships and coordinate actions to resolve potential challenges.
• Develop and implement agency management sales plans to meet production and profitability targets.
• Lead processes in territory and agency management, including prospecting, business planning, engagement, training, and compensation.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Five years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, claims, sales territory development, agency operations, or a related field.
• Preferred insurance designations include CPCU or CIC, or an agent license.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the property and casualty insurance sector.
• In-depth understanding of independent agency operations, market trends, and competitive insights.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
• Strong sales and negotiation capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.
• Strong organizational, time management, and planning abilities.
• Solid interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
• Proven leadership qualities.
• Travel is required.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report as per company standards is necessary if driving.
