Temporary Production Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement Free People's multi-branded footwear vision through the development of pre-production processes and the management of production workflows.

• Direct sourcing strategies, brand initiatives, operational schedules, monthly book-to dates, and final allocations.

• Build and sustain relationships with vendors.

• Evaluate industry trends to pinpoint supply chain challenges, lower costs, minimize risks, ensure supply continuity, and uncover opportunities.

• Work collaboratively with product development, design, merchandising, and other key stakeholders to establish timelines and meet deadlines.

• Convey brand and category strategies based on insights from trend meetings.

• Oversee commitments, order placements, product development, and production processes.

• Calculate and monitor rolling and final IMUs for variance analysis.

• Plan freight modes, distribution center receipt flows, and margin opportunities.

• Set IMU targets and assist teams in negotiating final vendor costs.

• Evaluate and develop staff, foster effective teams, and maintain precise records and reports.

• Mentor staff, drive change, and support teams in a fast-evolving business landscape.

• Coordinate teams to produce aesthetically accurate samples that align with the brand's vision.

• Manage pre-production timelines and action plans as well as production work-in-progress.

• Offer training, development, and support for team members and direct reports.
