Temporary Employee Accommodations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Oversee and independently evaluate accommodation requests, including those that are complex and high-risk, in compliance with ADA/ADAAA, Section 504, PWFA, and relevant regulations.

• Facilitate the interactive accommodation process involving employees, managers, HR, and Legal teams.

• Assess and interpret medical documentation along with functional limitations.

• Evaluate the feasibility of accommodations, issuing approvals, denials, or exploring alternatives.

• Create, implement, and uphold accommodation policies, procedures, templates, and documentation standards.

• Provide guidance to leadership and HR regarding accommodation issues, risk mitigation, and compliance strategies.

• Offer training and support to supervisors and departments on legal responsibilities and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, Special Education, or a related area.

• 3–5+ years of experience in managing employee accommodations or disability services.

• Familiarity with ADA, ADAAA, Section 504, PWFA, and relevant employment legislation.

• Proven experience in the application of ADA and employment law.

• Capability to analyze medical documentation and assess functional limitations.

• Experience in case management.

• Background in policy development.

• Experience in training facilitation.

• Proficient in using HRIS or accommodation management systems.

• Certifications: Not required.

• Preferred experience in regulated or higher education environments.

• Preferred experience in assistive technology coordination.

• Relevant HR or ADA certifications are preferred.
