This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist the Consumer Insights and Category Management teams in the development and upkeep of Circana Custom Models.
β’ Evaluate and categorize individual Circana products and business lines into the correct category, subcategory, segment, and attribution hierarchy.
β’ Consistently apply established business definitions, coding rules, and classification logic across extensive datasets.
β’ Investigate products, brands, and business information to ascertain suitable classifications.
β’ Detect and highlight ambiguous or unclear items for internal assessment.
β’ Integrate category, brand, and portfolio context into coding decisions.
β’ Perform quality checks for missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or inaccurately coded records.
β’ Review finished coding for consistency across brands, products, categories, and attribution frameworks.
β’ Record questions, assumptions, decisions, and items that require further clarification.
β’ Implement feedback and updates to the coding methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Oversee weekly project priorities and ensure progress towards completion.
β’ More than 1 year of experience in data, analytics, data entry, category management, consumer insights, or a related domain is preferred.
β’ Proven ability to work accurately with substantial volumes of data and repetitive line-level tasks.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, organizing, and manipulating large datasets.
β’ Outstanding attention to detail and the capability to identify inconsistencies or anomalies.
β’ Ability to comprehend and consistently apply business rules, classification logic, and established guidelines.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Capacity to document questions, assumptions, and decisions clearly.
β’ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and escalating matters that require further business judgment.
β’ Experience with Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, Numerator, or other CPG syndicated data is a plus.
β’ Background in CPG, particularly in Category Management, Sales, Analytics, or Consumer Insights is advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with product hierarchies, category taxonomies, brand portfolios, or syndicated market data is beneficial.
β’ Experience in building or maintaining custom datasets, hierarchies, taxonomies, or classification systems is a plus.
β’ Experience with data quality or data governance processes is a plus.
β’ Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or other analytical tools is a plus.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
