Temporary Course Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Facilitate student learning in online Master of Health Care Innovation courses.

• Deliver meaningful and timely feedback on assignments and grading using a rubric for up to 20 students, ensuring a turnaround of 5 days or less.

• Assist students via email with a response time of 24 hours or quicker.

• Engage in both synchronous and asynchronous interactions with students and faculty.

• Recognize student needs and escalate significant issues as necessary.

• Provide the MEHP Online team with insights regarding teaching and learning experiences.

• Participate in short-term course development projects, which may include drafting and reviewing quizzes and assessments or evaluating course materials for quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in roles related to health care.

• Strong knowledge in health care, health policy, innovation, or a closely related discipline.

• Capability and availability to give meaningful and prompt feedback on student assignments.

• Proficient in communicating promptly, professionally, and respectfully via Slack, email, and other necessary tools.

• Open to learning and enhancing pedagogical skills.

• Ability to work remotely while closely coordinating with a team.

• A background check may be needed after a conditional job offer.

• Preferred qualifications include pedagogical experience, proofreading abilities, and familiarity with Canvas LMS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
