This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as frontline personnel fulfilling MCC's mission and Christian ministry by supporting company employees and their immediate families.
• Serve as a messenger, conveying faith, mission, and purpose.
• Visit company worksites on a weekly basis to engage with employees and cultivate relationships of trust and friendship.
• Visit employees or their immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, and other locations.
• Offer confidential pastoral discussions regarding family matters, divorce, serious illness, caregiving, death and grief, parenting, financial stress, and other personal issues.
• Provide referrals and coordinate specialized assistance for employees and their immediate family members.
• Assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals and offer follow-up grief support.
• Make visits to jail for employees and their immediate family members when necessary.
• Deliver notifications of death and serious injuries, and provide encouragement to those affected by tragedies.
• Offer post-termination support for laid-off or terminated employees.
• Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities as appropriate.
• Provide literature and resources addressing employees' life challenges.
• Represent companies to clients or customers when ministry services are warranted.
• Participate in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and the role of Care Team Member.
• Perform additional duties and services as requested by company executive leadership within the scope of the agreement.
• Ability to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team and work in an interfaith environment; open to diverse lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills when engaging with clients, employees, and families.
• Competence in delivering community presentations and managing interactions with family members and staff in high-stress situations.
• High respect for the dignity and worth of clients, employees, and their families.
• Capability to handle stressful situations and document accurately according to established standards.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle aligned with MCC's Ministry values.
• Fundamental understanding of the Holy Bible and its appropriate application.
• Saving faith in Jesus Christ and active involvement in a biblically-based church.
• Professional, diplomatic, patient, and courteous interactions with diverse groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative working relationships while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Skill in making administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive and confidential matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Emotional stability to manage human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.
• Proficiency in analyzing information, addressing problems or objectives, identifying solutions, and resolving issues.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures while keeping others informed.
• Computer proficiency with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, internet, email messaging, and web-based software applications.
• Capability to understand and learn new technology programs.
• Must possess an active provincial license and auto insurance.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and reference check.
