Telehealth Registered Dietitian, RD/RDN – Obesity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition assessments through virtual or telehealth consultations.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions.

• Create personalized nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies.

• Foster patient engagement through effective communication.

• Address clinical concerns as necessary.

• Collaborate with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools efficiently.

• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities present themselves.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.

• Valid Licensed Dietitian (LD/LDN) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CD/CDN) license in the state(s) of practice.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline.

• Clinical or ambulatory experience delivering nutrition counseling or MNT (mandatory).

• Experience with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.

• Comfortable functioning within interdisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with EHRs and telehealth platforms.

• Reliable internet connection.

• Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

• Ability to uphold licensure standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
