This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver exceptional, inclusive care through scheduled consultations on a virtual healthcare platform.
• Perform comprehensive initial evaluations, which include gathering medical histories, conducting risk assessments, and psychosocial evaluations.
• Inform patients about the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and blood-borne pathogens, HIV prevention strategies, risk reduction, and behavioral counseling.
• Engage in discussions regarding treatment options and assist patients in overcoming barriers to care while making well-informed health decisions.
• Order laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, interpret the findings, prescribe medications, and offer clinical follow-up care.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation within the electronic medical records system.
• Utilize virtual care tools to enhance patient communication, prescribing processes, and ongoing care coordination.
• Work in collaboration with Registered Nurses and support team members to provide coordinated care.
• Commit to providing 15–25 hours per week, which includes up to 15 hours of live consultations and approximately 5–10 hours of asynchronous care tasks.
• Ensure at least 10 live consultation hours are provided between Friday and Sunday.
• Master’s degree in Nursing along with the completion of a primary care Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Nurse Practitioner licenses in a minimum of 10 states, including at least one of Texas, Florida, or California.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in primary care settings.
• At least 1 year of experience in delivering virtual healthcare services.
• Background in HIV prevention and/or providing care to the LGBTQ2IA+ community.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication abilities, and a dedication to empathetic, culturally responsive care.
• Consistent availability for asynchronous responsibilities, including lab reviews, prescribing, and follow-ups, in addition to scheduled live consultations.
• Availability on Fridays through Sundays is required.
• Preferred: experience providing care to gender-diverse and sexually diverse populations.
• Preferred: experience in treating and managing patients living with HIV.
• Preferred: experience in a private-sector, startup, or technology-driven healthcare environment.
• Preferred: experience practicing independently or autonomously.
• Spanish fluency is preferred.
• This position is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity and does not come with employee benefits.
• Contractors are responsible for supplying their own laptops.
• Asynchronous tasks provide scheduling flexibility.
