Telehealth Nurse Practitioner – Oklahoma License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Deliver clinical support to patients receiving treatment for opioid use disorder as well as a limited range of mental health issues.

• Collaborate with clinicians, triage nurses, and administrative care coordinators.

• Perform intake and/or follow-up appointments based on the specific role.

• Offer compassionate, non-stigmatizing assistance and advocate for patient needs.

• Develop personalized treatment strategies and adjust them if patients are not making progress.

• Utilize motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and other behavioral methods.

• Conduct behavioral health and psychiatric assessments for conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, and others.

• Monitor treatment outcomes, clinical symptoms, side effects, adherence, efficacy, and complications.

• Prescribe or recommend suitable medications.

• Educate patients about opioid use disorder and medication for opioid use disorder.

• Record patient interactions in Ophelia’s EHR promptly and with high quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

• Active DEA license (schedule 3N, 4, 5) or the willingness to obtain a DEA license upon accepting a position with Ophelia.

• Fully licensed to practice in Oklahoma.

• Previous experience in caring for individuals with opioid use disorder, or a willingness to acquire the necessary clinical skills to provide medication for opioid use disorder through a telehealth platform.

• Capacity to work full time.

• Proficient in a remote telehealth environment and adept at using multiple technology platforms.

• Familiarity with the differential diagnosis of common substance use disorders.

• Basic understanding of psychopharmacology related to opioid use disorder.

• Knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial therapies, counseling methods, or brief behavioral interventions.

• Ability to deliver patient-centered, non-judgmental, and compassionate care without stigma.

• Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized communities and diverse populations.

• Capability to operate within a team-based care model.

• Skill in collaborating and communicating effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and members of the care team.
