This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +7 more states.
• Provide support for the Defense Logistics Agency Information Operations Enterprise Enclave and Information Operations Secure Enterprise Enclave Engineering Support Services.
• Evaluate and design telecommunications networks that facilitate voice, data, video, and/or wireless communications.
• Create designs and strategies for the installation and upkeep of telecommunications systems from the project's beginning to its completion.
• Assess issues and the nature of information to be transmitted.
• Identify problems and establish system requirements along with network specifications.
• Collaborate with information system specialists to guarantee the effective execution of network services.
• Formulate alternative solutions and contingency plans alongside functional users.
• Operate independently or with general oversight on moderately complex requirements.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in network engineering.
• Proficient in telecommunications network design and management.
• Capability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision on moderately complex requirements.
• Experience in analyzing and designing voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, adjudicated within the last five (5) years.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Capacity to remain stationary for extended durations while working at a computer.
• Proficient in operating standard office equipment, including computers and telephones.
• Effective communication skills in person, via telephone, video conference, and email.
• Ability to occasionally navigate through the office and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Dependability to work according to the assigned schedule with consistent and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
